Born on June 21, 1988 in Kazan, in the family of the outstanding Russian scientist and physiologist Vladimir Mikhailovich Bekhterev. Graduated from the St. Petersburg Polytechnic Institute. Worked at the Nobel and Lessiner factories, in the Highway Construction Directorate of the Ministry of Railways, then in the construction of the Petrograd-Rybinsk railway. From 1921 he worked in the Ostekhbyuro, participated in the development of military equipment: systems for transporting equipment by air. In September 1937 he was arrested, in early 1938 he was shot by sentence of the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR. Rehabilitated in 1956.
