Bogdanov Petr Mitrofanovich
Bibliophile, collector of bookplates and postcards
Born in 1907; member of the All-Union Leninist Young Communist League since 1925. Lived in Moscow, since 1925 worked at the Main Directorate of the USSR State Insurance, in the propaganda and scientific publishing department, from 1932 to 1936 - deputy editor-in-chief of the magazine Izvestia of the Central Committee of the All-Union Leninist Young Communist League, from 1936 until his arrest - editor of the youth and defense-related magazine Photochronicle at the Molodaya Gvardiya publishing house. Arrested on 14 October 1937. Sentenced by the Criminal Division of the Supreme Court of the USSR to 8 years in a prison camp. Sentenced to Komsomolsk-on-Amur. After serving his sentence, he was left on voluntary employment at the military plant P.O. Box YaB 257/20, where he was arrested again a year later. Exiled to Krasnoyarsk Krai, where he lived from April 1950 to September 1956. Rehabilitated by a resolution of a special meeting of the USSR People's Commissariat of Internal Affairs on November 1, 1955. Moved to Kemerovo. Died in 1968.
