Broitman Roman Yakovlevich

Genus. in 1895 in Kamenets-Podolsk in the family of a lawyer; Jew; higher education, member of the RSDLP(m), member of the CPSU(b) since 1917. In 1931 he lived in Kazan, worked as a planner in the State Planning Committee of the TASSR. Arrested on March 4, 1931 in the case of the Union Bureau of Mensheviks; sentenced by the USSR Kogpu to 5 years in prison with confiscation of property; served his sentence in a political prison; released on April 2, 1934 with deportation to the Gorky Territory for the remainder of his term. Arrested 02/17/1935; sentenced by the OSO under the NKVD of the USSR on June 15, 1935 under Art. 58-10, 58-11 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to 5 years of exile in the Omsk region. In 1938 he lived in Omsk, worked as an economist at the Kaganovich Siberian Plant. Arrested 03/03/1938 by the NKVD; sentenced by the OSO under the NKVD of the USSR on 04/07/1940 “for participation in the Menshevik organization” to 8 years in prison; served his sentence in the Sevvostlag of the NKVD; released in March 1947. In 1949 he lived in the city of Kiritsy, Shelukhovsky district, Ryazan region. Arrested by the NKVD in the Ryazan region. 03/14/1949; sentenced by the USSR Ministry of State Security on May 18, 1949 “for belonging to an anti-Soviet Menshevik organization” to settlement in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
Rehabilitated in the case of 1935 on 10/24/1958 in the cases of 1940 and 1949 by the Siberian Military District on 11/23/1956.
