Activist of the Provisional Government and commissar of its 8th Army. He was a member of Kornilov's entourage. In 1918-1919 he was in Arkhangelsk and was a member of the Arkhangelsk City Duma. From 1919 he lived in exile - in Paris, where he practiced law. He acted as a defender of mainly Russian emigrants. 06/22/1941 arrested by the German occupation forces. Released in 1942. Participated in the resistance. After the Second World War - a member of the Society of Soviet Patriots.
