Genus. 10/18/1887 in the city of Revel, Estonia province; Estonian; from workers; higher education, teacher-theorist; member of the CPSU (b) in 1917–1936. He graduated from St. Petersburg University as an external student in 1912. In December 1918 - January 1919, Commissioner of Education of the Estonian Labor Commune. Subsequently he lived in Petrograd/Leningrad (address before arrest: V.O., 10th line, 25, apt. 32). Member of the Leningrad City Council, professor of pedagogy and methods of social sciences, head. Department of Leningrad State University, deputy. Director of the Pedagogical Financial and Economic Institute. Arrested on August 15, 1936. Sentenced on December 25, 1936 by a visiting session of the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR under Art. 17-58-8, 58-11 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to 10 years in prison with disqualification for 5 years and confiscation of property. In custody in Solovetsky prison. Sentenced by a resolution of the Special Troika of the UNKVD LO dated 10.10.1937 to VMN. Shot on November 4, 1937 in the Sandormokh tract (Karelian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic). Rehabilitated on April 6, 1957 by a ruling of the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR.
