Convicted by the Sakhalin Regional Court in 1986. to 14 years of age for 13 crimes, incl. - to 3 years l/s under Article 190-1 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR. In 1990, after his wife appealed to the UN Human Rights Commission and the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR, the Supreme Court of the RSFSR released him from punishment under Art. 190-1.
