Kozintseva Ruf Iosifovna

Born in 1906 in St. Petersburg. In 1923 she entered the Petrograd State University in the social and pedagogical department, then transferred to the faculty of linguistics and material culture, historical and archival cycle, graduated in 1926. From 1927 to 1929 she worked in the archive of the Commission for the Study of the History of the Trade Union Movement in Russia and the USSR (Istprof at the All-Union Central Council of Trade Unions) of the Union of Metalworkers, then as secretary of the Union of Garment Workers. In 1931 she was accepted to the Historical and Archaeographic Institute (IAI) as a 1st category research associate. From 1934 she studied in the graduate school of the history department of Leningrad University, enrolled in the IAI as a research associate. Lived in Leningrad (Krylova Lane, 7/5, Apt. 5). Arrested on June 26, 1937 for belonging to the "Trotskyist-Zinoviev counterrevolutionary organization of Tomsinsky." Sentenced to 5 years in a labor camp. In 1944, she arrived in Krasnoyarsk and worked as an economist at Plant No. 13. In January 1946, she was accepted as a senior lecturer at the Department of History of the USSR at the Krasnoyarsk State Pedagogical Institute. With the resumption of the "arrest campaign" in 1948, she lost her job. After several months of unemployment, in 1949 she joined the trading base of Glavlegsbyt, later reorganized into the base of Glavobuvtorg, as an economist. In 1955, she left for Moscow. Rehabilitated by the Resolution of the Leningrad City Court dated June 20, 1956. She returned to Leningrad and in October 1956 was reinstated as a junior research fellow at the LOII archive. 1963 defended her PhD dissertation at Leningrad State University.
