Genus. in 1963 (1964) in St. Petersburg. In 1901 he graduated from the St. Petersburg Theological Academy. Since 1910 - Bishop of Kem, vicar of the Arkhangelsk diocese. Since 1913 - Bishop of Kargopol, vicar of the Olonets diocese. Since 1921 - Bishop of Nikolsky, vicar of the Vologda diocese.
Arrested in 1923 following a denunciation by representatives of the renovation movement. In September 1924, by decision of the OS under the OGPU, he was sentenced to exile for three years in the Narym region. In July 1926, the period of exile was extended, the bishop was transferred to the Irkutsk province, and in March 1929 - to the Vologda region.
In 1929-1930 lived in Leningrad. Arrested in 1930 and exiled for three years to the Northern Territory (according to other sources, arrested in 1931 in the vicinity of Kargopol). He served his sentence in the Vologda region. He died on August 6, 1934 in exile.
