Lived in the village of Kamenets-Podolsk region, worked on a collective farm. Arrested on charges of espionage. Sentenced to 10 years in a labor camp. Sent to Dalstroy, Linkovy mine, worked in a mine brigade. After 2 years, he ended up in the hospital, was released to a semi-hospital, then became an agricultural worker.
