Rotinyan Levon Alexandrovich
Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor, Honored Scientist of the Armenian SSR
Born in 1879; graduated from the Physics and Mathematics Department of St. Petersburg University in 1903. From 1903 he worked in the physical chemistry laboratory of the Polytechnic Institute, in 1918 he was a professor at Tiflis University, and in the early 1920s he moved to Armenia. From 1923 to 1930 he was a professor of physical chemistry at Yerevan University, in 1930-1938 - at the Yerevan Polytechnic Institute, director of the Chemical Institute of Armenran. Arrested on 16.06.1938 by the NKVD, accused of participating in the counter-revolutionary Dashnak organization. Released in 1946. In 1946-1948. – professor of inorganic chemistry at the Agricultural Institute in Kirovabad (Azerbaijani SSR), in 1948-1953 – professor at the Agricultural Institute in Cheboksary, in 1957-1960 – at the Research Institute of the Council of National Economy in Armenia. Doctor of Chemical Sciences, professor, honored scientist of the Armenian SSR.
