Krasovsky Ivan Ivanovich
Governor of Tomsk in 1883-1885.
Born ca. 1831. Ancestors from an old family of noblemen Krasovsky. One of the representatives of the family ended up in Russian service, and his descendants were already listed as Russian nobles of the Chernigov province. Studied at the Petrovsky Cadet Corps, entered the 12th Artillery Brigade as an ensign. In 1851 - adjutant to princes Gorchakov and Menshikov, Admiral Nakhimov.
From 1859 he served as an inspector of students at Moscow University. From 1863 - chamberlain of the court of His Imperial Majesty. Later - Moscow vice-governor, actual state councilor.
On April 7, 1883, he was appointed governor of Tomsk province. Author of military memoirs about the Crimean War of 1853-1856.
