Born in 1936. On June 20, 1941, together with his parents and four younger brothers, he was exiled from Augustow, Poland, to the Askiz District of the Khakass Autonomous Region of Krasnoyarsk Krai. His father was arrested on July 9, 1942 and died on July 12, 1943, in prison in Minusinsk. In 2013, he applied to the District Court of Lublin, Republic of Poland, with a petition for compensation for damages.
