Genus. in 1926(?), Baptist, mechanic, father of 7 children. Lived in the village of Rodkino, Uzlovsky district, Tula region. Arrested on January 20, 1962. for a "parasitic lifestyle." Convicted by the Uzlovsky District Court under the Decree “On strengthening the fight against persons evading socially useful labor” dated May 4, 1961. to 5 years of exile in the Komi Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic with confiscation of “a house acquired through unearned labor” and with “mandatory involvement in physical labor at the place of settlement.” In the Tula prison he went on a hunger strike for 4 months and was force-fed. In May 1962 The Presidium of the Tula Regional Court confirmed the verdict of the Uzlovsky District Court, but decided, since Volodin’s health condition “does not make it possible to use him in work related to physical labor ... to be released from further serving his sentence.” After his release, he worked at the Mayskaya mine, and a few years later he moved with his family to the village of Dubovka.
