In 1942, with the help of her niece’s husband, Viktor Vasilyevich Makonin, who was sent from the front to Leningrad, she transferred to the State Russian Museum about four hundred paintings and drawings by Pavel Filonov (who died in the first year of the siege), thus preserving almost all of his creative heritage.
For some time she was engaged in concert activities, leaving which she devoted herself to musical and pedagogical work in cultural centers of Leningrad. Author of memoirs about Filonov.
