Conclusion of the Commission: The dismissal of assistant V. V. Artsimovich from TPI by order No. 520 of 12.02.1976 contradicts Soviet legislation, "his unsuitability for teaching due to moral and business qualities", as the Rector's Commission concluded in 1976, is a far-fetched defamation of an honest and highly moral person, the use of the wording of paragraph 3 of Article 254 of the Labor Code of the RSFSR - "committing... an immoral act" is slander against him.
The commission recommends contacting the rector I. P. Chuchalin ... with a request to reinstate V. V. Artsimovich in the TPI philosophy department.
