Lozovoy Ivan Semenovich was born in 1895. A native of the village of Dergachi, Dergachevsky District, Saratov Region, Russian, no citizenship. He worked as a fireman, deputy commander of the department in the 35th VGPK, lived at the address: Leningrad, Novaya Derevnya, Kolomyazhskaya Street, 49, Apt. 1. His son voluntarily went to the front.
He was arrested on September 29, 1941, on charges of "being hostile to the existing Soviet order and conducting defeatist propaganda among his entourage," i.e., a crime under Article 58-10, Part 2 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR. On September 29, 1941, he was delivered to the internal prison of the NKVD Directorate for the Leningrad Region. As part of the evacuation by the Leningrad stage, before the verdict was passed, he was transferred to Prison No. 3 of the NKVD Directorate of the Novosibirsk Region (Tomsk). He died in the prison hospital on July 19, 1942.
The file was discovered by chance, in the damp basement of SIZO-1, about 80 years after it was established. The file is in a deplorable state, the pages are eaten away by fungus and falling apart. The museum staff attempted to dry the documents and make copies.

RESOLVED:
The measure of prevention of I. S. LOZOVOY's methods of evading investigation and trial shall be detention in custody, which, in accordance with Article 146 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the RSFSR, shall be announced to the arrested person in this resolution.
In accordance with Article 160 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the RSFSR, a copy of the order shall be sent to the Prosecutor and transferred to the head of the prison for inclusion in the prison’s personal file.

On the basis of order No. 0457 and the order of [the head of] prison No. 3, lieutenant of the city battalion comrade Bozhka, [me], military doctor of the 2nd company Sotkish (?), in the presence of ..... conducted an external examination of prisoner Ivan Semenovich Lozovaya [born in 1895] , who died in the prison hospital on July 19, 1942, who arrived in the Leningrad stage [in] the prison on September 29, 1941.
