Annotation:

Pretetsky Mikhail Mefodievich was born in 1900. A native of the village of Stepashino, Ladyzhensky district, Vinnytsia region, Ukrainian, the son of a priest. In 1938 he was arrested as a member of a political gang, but was released due to lack of evidence. In 1941 he lived in the city of Nikolaev, worked as the head of the operational department of Soyuzzagottrans.

Arrested on June 23, 1941, accused of crimes under Art. 54-10, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of the Ukrainian SSR. In 1941, he was transported by reinforced convoy to the Siberian region of the USSR, and on July 20, 1941, he ended up in prison No. 3 of the NKVD NSO (Tomsk). In January 1942, he was transferred to the Special Conference of the NKVD of the USSR.

He died in Tomsk prison on June 24, 1942.

The file was discovered by chance, in the damp basement of SIZO-1, more than 80 years after it was established. The file is in a deplorable state, the pages are eaten away by fungus and falling apart. The museum staff attempted to dry the documents and make copies.

I, the Chief of the 2nd Department of the SPO of the UNKGB for the Nikolaev region - junior lieutenant of state security - OSHCHEPKOV, having reviewed the material on the criminal activity of Leonid Mefodievich PRITETSKY,

Born in 1900, native of Stepashino, Ladyzhensky district, Vinnytsia region, Ukrainian, citizen of the USSR, son of a priest, in 1924 he was a member of "Prosvita", in 1938 he was arrested by the NKVD as a member of a political gang and released due to lack of evidence. Works as the head of the operational department of Soyuzzagottrans, lives in Nikolaev on Iv. Franko Street No. 13.

FOUND:

that PRITETSKY is suspected of crimes under Article 54-10 Part 1 of the Criminal Code of the Ukrainian SSR and taking into account that PRITETSKY, being at large, can influence the course of the investigation, and therefore, guided by Articles 143, 145 and 165 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Ukrainian SSR —

RESOLVED:

The measure to prevent the methods of evading investigation and trial in relation to PRITETSKY Leonid Mefodievich is to be detention, which is to be announced to the arrested person against signature in this resolution.

In accordance with Article 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Ukrainian SSR, a copy of the resolution shall be sent to the Prosecutor and transferred to the Head of the prison for inclusion in the personal prison file.

On June 23, 1941, I, Deputy Chief of the Nikolaev Regional NKVD Department of the Ukrainian SSR Leizerovsky, on the basis of the Nikolaev NKGB UkrGB order No. 78, conducted a search at the home of citizen Leonid Mefodievich Pretetsky.

The following were present during the search: Manager of the Regional Union of Procurement... Comrade Dymov.
