Khaukka Andrei Petrovich was born in 1890 in the village of Oznakovo, Volosovsky District, Leningrad Volost, from a peasant family, basic education, no pension, married, Finnish by nationality, citizen of the USSR. He lived in the city of Leningrad, worked as a loader at the Krasnaya Rabotnitsa factory. He was arrested on July 20, 1941 on charges that "being hostile to the Soviet government, during an enemy air raid in the courtyard of a house in the presence of 40-50 people fleeing from the raid, he expressed defeatist sentiments and threatened members of the group on duty in the courtyard." By the decision of the NKVD troops of the Leningrad Region dated August 1, 1941, he was sentenced under Art. 58-10 Part 2 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to the highest measure of punishment --- execution by firing squad, replaced by the Supreme Court of the USSR to 10 years of imprisonment in a labor camp and 5 years of deprivation of rights. From November 15, 1941, he was in prison No. 3 of the NKVD NSO (Tomsk).
He died on December 13, 1941 in a prison hospital.
The abstract is based on the documents of the case of a prisoner of Tomsk Prison No. 3.
The file was discovered by chance, in the damp basement of SIZO-1, about 80 years after it was established. The file is in a deplorable state, the pages are eaten away by fungus and falling apart. The museum staff attempted to dry the documents and make copies.

In the name of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics
1941, August 1. The Military Tribunal of the NKVD troops of the USSR of the Leningrad region, in a closed court session, in the city of Leningrad, at the location of the Military Tribunal, consisting of: presiding comrade Stenilovsky and members: comrades comrades Sudarikov and Nazarkin, with secretary comrade Gankine, having examined case No. 709 on charges of citizen HAUKKA Andrei Petrovich, born in 1890, native of the Leningrad region, Volosovsky district, village of Oznakovo (?), a Finn by nationality, a citizen of the USSR, from the middle peasantry, a worker, who before his arrest worked as a loader at the Krasnaya Rabotnitsa factory, having a basic education, non-party member, married, with no criminal record, --- in accordance with Art. 58-10, Part 2 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR.
The judicial investigation shall consider it established:
Being hostile to the Soviet government, the accused HAUKKA .... on July 1941 at about 7 p.m. in the courtyard of house No. 20 on ...tskaya Street, in the presence of about 40-50 people ... who had taken refuge due to an air raid, expressed [defeatist] sentiments and threatened members of the defense group who were on duty in the courtyard.
By these [actions] Andrey Petrovich KHAUKA committed a crime under Article 58-10, Part 2 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR, for which the Military Tribunal found him guilty, guided by Articles 319-320 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the RSFSR.
SENTENCED:
KHAUKA Andrei Petrovich is to be subjected to the [highest measure of] punishment under Article 58-10, Part 2 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR -- BY SHOOTING, with confiscation of his personal property.
The verdict is final and cannot be appealed.

ACT of Medical examination of the corpse on December 13, 1941.
Based on order No. 0457 and the order of the head of prison No. 3 of the NKVD NSO, State Security Lieutenant Comrade BOZHOK, I, military doctor of the 2nd rank of the prison KOVUNOVSKY, in the presence of the prison DPN Comrade GREBNEVA, conducted an external examination of the body of prisoner Andrei Petrovich KHAUKA, born in 1890, who died in the prison hospital at 13:30, who arrived by train from Leningrad on November 14, 1941.
The corpse is male, of medium height, of regular build, emaciated. The coverings of the hairy parts and face are pale, the lips are cyanotic. The mouth is closed, the tongue is behind the teeth. The chest is of normal configuration. The ribs are protruding outward. The abdomen is sunken, the coverings on it are pale. The openings of the nose, ears and anus are without foreign objects. The skin of the upper and lower extremities, as well as the bones, are without damage, no other changes were found during the external examination of the corpse.
Based on the above and case history No. 1228-16, the death of prisoner HAUKKA A.P. was natural and resulted from exhaustion and persistent diarrhea.
