Genus. in 1885 in St. Petersburg. In 1931 he lived in Leningrad, worked as a senior engineer and head of the architectural group of the construction sector of the Institute for the Design of Metallurgical Plants (Lengipromez), was in the development of the OGPU as the brother of the “American intelligence officer Roerich”, searches were carried out at his apartment; arrested 05/23/1931; sentenced by the Judicial Kogpu on August 23, 1931 under Art. 59-9 (for smuggling; according to other sources, “for the intention to go abroad”) to 3 years in prison. He served his sentence in the closed OKTB No. 12 (Internal prison of the OGPU PP in the Leningrad Military District) as an architect. Released on parole on January 2, 1933. Since 1939 he lived in Moscow.
