Genus. in 1896 in Odessa; in 1912 he graduated from the main course, and in 1913 - an additional class from the Odessa Real School of V. Zhukovsky. In 1914-1916 he was a student at the Faculty of Economics of the Petrograd Psycho-Neurological Institute. In 1914-1915 he collaborated as a journalist with the liberal newspaper Den. In 1917 he helped publish the News of the Petrograd Soviet of Workers' Deputies. After 1917 he returned to Odessa, where he got married. In 1924 he moved with his wife and son to Leningrad, where he worked in the trade union newspaper Trud, then as a literary employee of the Red Newspaper, the Spartak newspaper, and the Leningrad branch of the Mashinostroenie newspaper. On October 15, 1941, he joined the Leningrad branch of TASS as an editor. On September 6, 1942, due to illness, he was evacuated from Leningrad. In 1942-1945 he worked as the executive secretary of the newspaper “Gubakhinsky Rabochiy”, then as an editor and correspondent for the Leningrad branch of TASS. 03/24/1949 released from work at his own request. Arrested on April 30, 1949. Sentenced by the Judicial Collegium for Criminal Cases of the Leningrad City Court under Art. 58-10 part 1 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to 10 years in prison, followed by loss of rights for 5 years and deprivation of rights to military awards. In 1950-1951 he was in Leningrad in a camp at the plant named after. Stepan Razin. Since June 1952 he was kept in one of the camps near the city of Svobodny, Amur Region. In December 1954, by decision of the Amur Regional Court, he was released early due to illness. The criminal record was cleared in 1957. He died on September 14, 1975. Rehabilitated on May 21, 1991.Documents (4)
