Genus. in 1949 in Magadan. Lived in Ufa. After three years of military service in the Northern Fleet, he graduated from the Faculty of Law of the Ufa University branch. He worked as a legal consultant at the Mashenergo plant in Ufa. In the mid-1970s. led the religious dissident movement in Ufa. In 1978, he was arrested and accused of using someone else’s student card to fly on an airplane (the difference in price was 11.30 rubles). Received 6 months in a general regime colony. He served his prison term in Meleuz, Bashkiria. After prison, he traveled a lot around the country in the hope of becoming a priest. I visited Irkutsk and Kursk, but under pressure from the KGB, local bishops were forced to refuse ordination. In April 1984, he was again arrested for anti-Soviet activities and sentenced by the Supreme Court of Bashkiria on September 3, 1984. according to Art. 190-1, 227 to 4 years in a strict regime penal colony. by 3 years of technical training. He served his sentence in Salavat. In 1986, he made a statement that he was convicted for a specific crime, and not for religious beliefs, and did not consider himself an opponent of the Soviet system, for which his prison term was reduced by 2 years. The statement was broadcast on 04/09/1986 on the first channel of the USSR Central Television. Many former acquaintances abandoned him after this speech. Released early after serving 2 years 8 months. In 1992 he was ordained to the priesthood. Died in Samara on March 30, 2011.
