Genus. in 1933 in Kyiv; Jew; higher education, in 1955 graduated from the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of Moscow University; mathematician, literary editor of the magazine "Kvant". In 1973 he was accused under Art. 70 part 1 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR, by a ruling of the Moscow City Court, he was declared insane and sent to a general prison. Released in 1974. Rehabilitated by the Moscow Prosecutor's Office (Certificate dated December 4, 1992). Lived in Moscow. Arrested 11/17/1983. Sentenced by the Moscow City Court on September 6, 1984 under Art. 70 part 1 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to 5 years of penal colony and 5 years of exile. He served his sentence in the Perm camps. Released on February 2, 1987 due to pardon.
