Godes Anri Mikhailovich

Born in 1935 in Leningrad. After his parents were arrested, he stayed with his brother with his mother's friends, then lived with his grandmother. After his grandmother was deported in 1938, he ended up in a special orphanage "for children of enemies of the people" in Strelna. In July 1941, he was evacuated with the orphanage to the Yaroslavl region. Since 1946, he began to correspond with his mother, who was in prison. In 1947, he came to his mother in Kyiv, and after she was deported from Kyiv in 1951, he moved to Boguslav and finished school. In 1953, he returned to Leningrad. He entered the Leningrad Electrotechnical Institute of Railway Transport, graduating in 1958. He worked for 2 years on the railway, then at the Elektrosila plant, and since 1968 at the Leningrad Optical-Mechanical Association. He is currently retired.
