Sentenced by the Supreme Court of the Latvian SSR on November 14, 1983 under Article 65 Part 1 and 204 Part 2 of the Criminal Code of the Latvian SSR, 228 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to 4 years in prison. Imprisoned in Perm camps and Chistopol prison. Released in February 1987 on pardon. After his release, he lived in Jurmala and worked in construction.
