Arrested on July 21, 1937 at a dacha in the village of Taitsy. By resolution of a special meeting of the NKVD of the USSR dated November 10, 1939 under Art. 58 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR sentenced to 8 years in labor camp. Released at the end of his term in 1946. Arrested for the second time on December 25, 1948 under Art. 58. By resolution of a special meeting at the USSR Ministry of State Security dated 02/09/1949, he was sentenced to exile. Rehabilitated by the Military Tribunal of the Leningrad Military District on October 29, 1956. He died on January 3, 1957 in a rural hospital while in exile.
