Genus. in Minsk in 1924. At the age of 18, he volunteered to go to the front. Was wounded 5 times. After the war he graduated with honors from the Academy. Frunze. While serving in the army, he suffered two heart attacks and was transferred to the reserve in 1969. He spoke out against anti-Semitism. In 1972, a criminal case was brought against him on charges of anti-Soviet agitation and propaganda. On December 1, 1972 he was arrested, but a day later he was released on his own recognizance. For six months he was subjected to interrogations that led to fainting and heart attacks. After another interrogation, on February 21, 1973, he was placed in the intensive care unit. Under public pressure, “Case No. 97” was closed in May 1973. But the persecution did not stop: biased articles were published and they did not allow me to travel to Moscow. In May 1975, after speaking at an anti-fascist rally in the area of ​​the former Minsk ghetto, he was deprived of the rank of retired colonel, the corresponding pension and medical care. On 03/01/1976 he suffered his fifth heart attack. Died April 1976
