Chairman of the Regional Council of the Union of Militant Atheists of the Leningrad Region and City. Arrested on April 20, 1936 by the NKVD in the Leningrad Region. He was accused of participating in the Trotskyist-Zinovievist organization and conducting Trotskyist agitation (Articles 58-11 and 58-10 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR). On September 10, 1936, he was sentenced to 5 years in labor camp under the NKVD of the USSR. Released from the Vorkuta-Pechersk NKVD camp after serving his sentence. Left for Yaroslavl. Rehabilitated by the ruling of the Judicial Collegium for Criminal Cases of the Supreme Court of the USSR dated 05/07/1955.
