Emelyanov Nikolay Alexandrovich
Born in 1871 in Sestroretsk; member of the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks) since 1904. An active participant in the revolutionary movement in Russia, a worker at the Sestroretsk arms factory. In the fall of 1905, he met V. I. Lenin. After the February Revolution of 1917, he was a deputy of the Petrograd Soviet. In July and August 1917, he hid Lenin from persecution by the Provisional Government at Razliv station. In October 1917, he participated in the guard of Smolny and in the storming of the Winter Palace. In 1919, he was the chairman of the Sestroretsk City Council. In 1921, he participated in the suppression of the Kronstadt mutiny. From the end of 1921, he worked abroad in the People's Commissariat of Foreign Trade. From 1925, he was in economic work. From 1932, he was a personal pensioner. In 1935, he was arrested and sentenced to 10 years' imprisonment. In 1937, his sentence was replaced by exile and he was sent to Sarapul, Udmurtia. From 1941 to 1945, he lived in Omsk and worked on a state farm near Omsk. In 1945, he returned to Razliv. He was rehabilitated in 1954. He died in 1958 in Sestroretsk.
