Yermansky (real name Kogan) Osip Arkadyevich

Definition: Russian politician (social democrat), theorist in the field of rationalization of production and organization of labor, publicist, memoirist. One of the founders of the Russian / Soviet science of management (later management), introduced the term NOT (scientific organization of labor) into scientific use.

Genus. in 1866 in the city of Akkerman, Bessarabian province, from a family of an artisan. In 1887-1988. studied at the Faculty of Law of the Novorossiysk University (Odessa), in 1891-1995 at the Polytechnic Institute in Zurich. Since 1892 - a member of the Marxist circles. After the 2nd Congress of the RSDLP (1903) he was close to the Mensheviks. From 1905 he lived in St. Petersburg. After the February Revolution of 1917, he joined the Menshevik Internationalists. Member of the Pre-Parliament. In March - July 1918 he was under arrest in Petrograd, then moved to Moscow, was a full member of the Socialist Academy and a professor at the 1st Moscow State University. Arrested 23/8/1920 in Moscow. Released after a month. In 1921 he lived in Moscow. He was characterized by local Chekists as a "member of the Central Committee of the Mensheviks" and an "active" party worker. Arrested in March 1921 in Moscow. Fled. In 1927, he was a professor at the Moscow Industrial and Economic Institute. In 1931 he was arrested, left the RSDLP, in 1937 he was arrested again, sent to the ITL. In 1941 he died.
