Zhuk Vadim Ivanovich
Born in 1928 in the village of Svoboda, Kursk region; graduated from the Leningrad Military Mechanical Institute in 1952, specializing in "Mechanical Engineer". In 1952-1960 he worked in the design bureau OKB-43 as an engineer, then lead engineer. Since 1961 - at KBSM: lead engineer, head of the calculation and research department, laboratory, chief specialist. Candidate of Technical Sciences (1961). Took an active part in the development, research and commissioning of artillery system cooling systems (1954-1960). Since 1961, he took part in the calculation, theoretical and experimental research support for the development and creation of a number of combat launch missile systems and SLCM launchers - in terms of gas-dynamic and thermal processes in various conditions of use and operation of these models of new equipment. Member of the Scientific Council of the Russian Academy of Sciences on the problem of "Thermal modes of machines and devices". Laureate of the State Prize (1984).
