Genus. in 1903 (according to other sources - in 1905) in Elisavetgrad. Jew. In the bodies of the Cheka - OGPU - NKVD since 1923. Member of the CPSU (b) since 1931. In 1927 he graduated from the law faculty of the Institute of National Economy in Kharkov, in 1932 - graduate school of the All-Ukrainian Association of Scientific Research Marxist-Leninist Institutes under the Central Committee Communist Party (b) of Ukraine. In 1928-1929 worked in the OO GPU of the Ukrainian SSR, in 1932-1934. - detective officer of the 3rd branch of the OO GPU of the Ukrainian SSR, then head of the 3rd branch of the DTO of the GUGB NKVD of the South-Western Railway. In 1937-1938 - deputy Head of the 3rd Department of the State Security Directorate of the NKVD of the Moldavian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. Arrested on April 19, 1938 on charges of espionage under Art. 54 of the Criminal Code of the Ukrainian SSR. The Military Tribunal of the NKVD troops of the Kiev district was sentenced to 8 years of imprisonment under Art. 206-a (abuse of official position). Served his sentence in Sevzheldorlage. Released in 1942. Rehabilitated in 1943. In the 1944-1960s. worked in the apparatus of the NKPS-MPS.
