Ignatiev Nikolay Ivanovich
Russian naval officer, captain 1st rank, participant in the Battle of Tsushima.
Born in 1880 in the village of Seltso Krasnoye, Epifansky District, Tula Region. Russian, higher education, no pension. Naval officer, captain of the 1st rank, participant in the Battle of Tsushima. Chairman of the Scientific and Technical Committee of the Red Army Navy Directorate. Lived in Leningrad (13th line of V.O., bldg. 20, apt. 7). Arrested on 04/05/1930. Sentenced by the KOGPU decree of 04/30/1931 under Art. 58-4, 7, 11 to capital punishment with replacement by 10 years in a correctional labor camp. Released early in January 1934. Worked as assistant to the head of department "A" of the scientific testing institute of military shipbuilding. Arrested on 11/25/1937. Sentenced by the Military Commission of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR on 27.04.1938 on charges of espionage, Article 58-1 "b", 58-7, 58-8, 58-11, to capital punishment. Executed on 27.04.1938. Place of burial: Moscow region, Kommunarka. Rehabilitated on 11.01.1969 by the Military Commission of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR.
