Member of the Ice Campaign of the Baltic Fleet in 1918. Since 1918 he was in charge of minesweeping operations in the Baltic Sea. In 1920 he was appointed head of the mine defense of the Naval Forces of the Baltic Sea, and from 1921 - chief miner of the Naval Forces of the Republic. Since 1922 - Chairman of the Scientific and Technical Commission of mine-sweeping experiments. In 1923-1928. - Chairman of the Commission of Mine Experiments and Head of the Marine Mine Range. Developed a number of new types of trawl equipment, including a bottom trawl. During the Great Patriotic War, he performed combat trawling tasks. Since 1952 - retired. Awarded the Order of St. Anna 2nd class with swords, St. Stanislav 2nd class with swords, St. Vladimir 3rd class with swords, Order of Lenin, 2 Orders of the Red Banner, Order of the Red Star. He was buried in Leningrad on the Literary Bridges.
