Kapluk Evgeniy Alexandrovich

Born 28.01.1896 in Yalta; Russian; no name. Graduated from high school. In 1915 he was enlisted as a hunter in a special purpose expedition of the Black Sea Fleet, operating in Serbia on the Danube River. Promoted to ensign. From September 1915 to August 1916 he studied flying at the Aviation School of the Air Fleet Department on the Kacha River near Sevastopol. After graduation and until January 1917, he served as a pilot in the 8th Air Detachment on the Southwestern Front, then until December 1917 in the Odessa Air Detachment on the Romanian Front. In 1919-1920 he was in the ranks of the 2nd Soviet Air Detachment and studied at flight courses in Odessa. In 1921 - pilot of the Nikolaev hydroplane station of the Black Sea Air Fleet. From October 1921 to June 1922 - chief of the operations department of the headquarters of the Western region of the Black Sea. Transferred as head of the training unit to the Training hydrodetachment in the Baltic. In 1924 he was appointed instructor of the Higher Aeronautical School in Leningrad, in 1925 - commandant of the Tashkent airfield. Then he worked at the Kirov plant in Leningrad. Arrested on 08.07.1938 by the NKVD LO. He was accused of being a member of the counter-revolutionary military officer organization "ROVS" and, on its instructions, carrying out espionage work in favor of Germany (Articles 58-6, 58-8, 58-11 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR). The case was closed by the order of the head of the Leningrad Regional Directorate of the NKVD on 18.01.1940 due to insufficient evidence. He was released on 20.01.1940. From July 1941, he fought on the approaches to Leningrad and on the Leningrad Front. After the war, he worked in the defense industry. He was rehabilitated by the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation on 18.11.1994. He died in 1970.
