Genus. in 1889 in Moscow. In 1911-1913. studied at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. From 1919 to 1922 taught at the Vitebsk People's Art School. Since 1920 - a member of UNOVIS. In 1922-1923. worked at the Museum of Artistic Culture in Moscow. In 1926 she left for Leningrad. Since 1928 she worked in Detgiz, illustrating children's books. In 1932 she became a member of the graphics section of the Leningrad branch of the Union of Soviet Artists (LOSSKh). 12/25/1934 arrested in the case of a group of pictorial and plastic realism, together with V.V. Sterligov, L.S. Galperin, M.B. Kazanskaya and V. M. Ermolaeva. On March 13, 1935, the investigation against Kogan was terminated. In the second half of the 1930s. taught at the children's art studio of the Narva region. She died in Leningrad at the beginning of 1942.
