Genus. in 1884 in the village of Romny, Poltava province; Russian; Higher education: graduated from the St. Petersburg Institute of Transport Engineers. In 1929–1930 – professor at the Don and Leningrad Polytechnic Institutes, assistant director for the educational and production part of the Leningrad Hydrotechnical Institute; author of the Volga-Don Canal project; presumably one of the authors of the initial projects of the Moscow-Volga canal; the head of the design bureau (sharashki in the structures of the Leningrad OGPU) for the development of the project for the creation of the White Sea-Baltic Canal, insisted on carrying out design and survey work on the route of the proposed construction. This may have been the impetus for his arrest; arrested 10/02/1930. According to some reports, he died in custody in 1931, and in 1967 his ashes were reburied at the Northern Cemetery in Leningrad. Rehabilitated on January 16, 2003.
