Born in 1892 in Sevastopol; higher education. Worked as chief engineer of the Central Design Bureau of Special Shipbuilding No. 1. Lived in Leningrad. Sentenced in January 1934 under Article 58-6 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to 10 years' imprisonment. Imprisoned at the BBK shipyard (Medvezhyegorsk), then at the NKVD shipyard (Leningrad). In 1939-1945 - head of the special bureau of plant No. 402 in Molotovsk. In August 1945 he was transferred to Leningrad, head of the department of OKB-172. Released in 1946.
