Genus. in 1932; Estonian; higher education. He worked as a lawyer at the Kokhtla Mineral Water Plant. Arrested for attempting to escape abroad. Sentenced to imprisonment for 5 years. From 1960 to 1965 he was kept in ZH-385. Arrested again for attempting to escape, sentenced on December 3, 1968 by the Supreme Court to 3 years in a maximum security colony. Released on September 12, 1971. In 1972, he crossed the Soviet-Finnish border and received political asylum in Sweden. Lived in Stockholm (as of 1990). In 1995 he returned to Estonia.
