Born in 1941. In the 1970s and 1980s, he organized Hebrew study groups in the USSR. In 1989, he was elected to the board of the Soviet S. Mikhoels Center for Jewish Culture. In 1989, he repatriated to Israel. In the early 1990s, he organized the Democracy and Aliyah party in Israel. Later, many members of the party joined and even became leaders of the popular Russian-language party Israel BaAliyah. Then he became a member of Likud and headed the party’s department for Aliyah and Absorption. In 2003, he became an activist in the Shinui party. He headed the Zionist Majority movement.
