Genus. in 1892 in the village. Ksenievsky Novokuskovsky district Tomsk province 29.09. 1915 tonsured a monk with the name Alexy, 10/11/1915 ordained hierodeacon. In 1917 he graduated from the Tomsk Theological Seminary and from April 1917 he served as a hieromonk at the Tomsk Bishop's House, according to some sources he was a cell attendant of the Archbishop of Tomsk and Irkutsk Anatoly (Kamensky; †1925).

In 1920 he moved to Irkutsk, where two years later he was arrested on charges of counter-revolutionary activities and released after a three-month prison sentence. In 1922–1923 he served as rector of the Alexander Nevsky Monastery of Bugulminsky district. Samara province. 01/01/1924 consecrated Bishop of Bugulma, vicar of the Samara diocese, from 03/13/1924 - Bishop of Petropavlovsk, vicar of the Omsk diocese; from 1925 - Bishop of Semipalatinsk, vicar of the Omsk diocese; from February 1926 - Bishop of Kozlovsky, vicar of the Tambov diocese; from 1927 - Bishop of Urazov, vicar of the Voronezh diocese. 28.02. Bishop Alexy was appointed administrator of the Voronezh diocese with the title of Bishop of Kozlovsky. On 03/07/1929 he was arrested and sent to the Solovetsky camp for three years. Sentenced by a resolution of the Kogpu dated July 28, 1930 to military service, which was replaced by ten years in the camps. Imprisoned in the Svirsky camp and Solovki. By resolution of the Special Troika of the UNKVD LO dated 10/09/1937 he was sentenced to VMN. Shot on November 3, 1937 in the Sandormokh tract. In 1981 he was canonized by the Russian Orthodox Church Abroad.
