Lanskaya Rufina Mikhailovna

Born in 1912 in Tsaritsyn. Graduated from the Leningrad Choreographic School in 1931 and was accepted into the troupe of the Leningrad Opera and Ballet Theatre named after S. M. Kirov. In 1931, she married a Japanese man. Arrested on 09.12.1933. By decree of 25.02.1934, she was exiled to Tomsk for 3 years. She married again and gave birth to a son.   Released in 1936, returned to Leningrad in 1937, to her previous place of work. Lived in Leningrad (ul.Gertsena, 21, apt. 38). Arrested on 14.07.1938, held in Leningrad prison, released on 20.12.1938 due to the dismissal of the case. In 1939 she moved to Lviv, where she worked at the Lviv Frunze Opera and Ballet Theater. In 1944, after the birth of her daughter, the entire family was deported to Austria, to the Strasshof concentration camp. Released in 1945, returned to Lviv in 1946. Again worked at the Lviv Opera and Ballet Theater, then as a classical dance teacher at the Lviv Children's Choreographic School until her retirement. Rehabilitated by the Leningrad Military District Military Tribunal on 02.06.1958. Died on July 18, 1995 in Lviv.
