Litovchik Benzion (Boris) Moiseevich
Born in 1905 in Polonne, Khmelnytskyi region, Ukraine; Jewish; from a blue-collar background; secondary education; member of the CPSU since 1927. From March 1922 he worked as a loader at the railway station in Beltsy, from October 1923 he worked as a forger at faience factories in the village of Polonne and the city of Slavuta, Khmelnytskyi region. From May 1927 to August 1928 he served in the Red Army, in the Separate Transport Battalion of the Corps of Railway Troops in Chernigov. In 1928-1930 he studied at the second-level Soviet Party school, specializing in propagandist and teacher of social science. From June 1930 - deputy. education department in Berdichev, Zhitomir region, from July 1931 - director of the seven-year school No. 19 in Kiev. In March 1932 he was sent to the NKVD of the Ukrainian SSR, assistant to the operational officer of the 3rd department of the UGB of the NKVD Directorate for the Kiev region, sergeant of state security. On April 3, 1937 he was discharged into the reserve. Since May 1937 - head of the material and transport department of the Hydrostroitrest in Kiev. Arrested on February 20, 1938. Sentenced by the Special Conference of the NKVD of the USSR on October 9, 1938 to 5 years in a correctional labor camp. Imprisoned in Kolyma, Dalstroy, miner in the gold mines. Released from the Magadan camp of the SVITL MVD on August 7, 1946. Since September 1946 he worked at a sugar factory in the village of Agara in the Georgian SSR, in July 1947 he moved to the city of Novograd-Volynsky in the Zhitomir region. From December 1947 - senior conductor of the interdistrict office "Zagotskot", from April 1949 - head of the porcelain factory workshop in the settlement of Tokarovka, Baranovsky district, Zhitomir region. In July 1949 he was arrested and accused of speculation. Sentenced to 5 years in a labor camp. While imprisoned in the cities of Oruch, Zhitomir, and Alexandria, he worked at a construction site. Released on April 10, 1953 under amnesty. From May 1953 he worked as a carpenter at a furniture factory in the city of Novograd-Volynsky. On February 7, 1957, the Military Tribunal of the Kyiv Military District overturned the resolution of the Special Conference under the NKVD of the USSR dated October 9, 1938 regarding Litovchik B.M., the case was closed due to lack of corpus delicti. In his autobiography of 17.10.1963, he stated that he was rehabilitated in the 1949 case by the Supreme Court of the Ukrainian SSR in 1962 and reinstated in the CPSU. He died on 08.07.1972.
