Arrested on June 30, 1980, accused of conducting anti-Soviet agitation and propaganda. Sentenced by the Zhytomyr Regional Court on December 5, 1980 under Article 62 Part 1 of the Criminal Code of the Ukrainian SSR to 6 years in a penal colony and 5 years in exile. He served his sentence in Dubravlaga, exile in Buryat ASSR. By Decree of the PVS of the USSR dated November 30, 1988. pardoned Released 12/09/1988
