Sentenced by the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR on 11 October 1936 to capital punishment with confiscation of property under Articles 58-8 and 58-11 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR (accused of participating in the Trotskyist-Zinoviev organization that prepared the assassination of S. M. Kirov on 01 December 1934 and planned, with the help of the Gestapo, an assassination attempt on I. V. Stalin). Shot on 11 October 1936 in Leningrad. Burial place unknown. Rehabilitated.
