In the service of the Petrograd Cheka from February 1918 to December 1922, investigator of the All-Russian Cheka in the case of the murder of Uritsky, chairman of the Cheka of the Estonian Labor Commune (1918-1919). Head of the photo laboratory at the State Russian Museum. Lived in Leningrad, st. Dzerzhinskogo, 8, apt. 5. Arrested on 07/03/1936 by the NKVD for the Leningrad Region in the case of the “Estonian center” in the authorities (the so-called “Fontanniki Case”). Charged under Art. 58-8, 58-11 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR. Sentenced by the Supreme Commander of the USSR Armed Forces on 10/11/1936 to VMN. Shot on October 11, 1936 in Leningrad. Rehabilitated by the decision of the Supreme Commander of the USSR Armed Forces dated January 4, 1958.
