Born in 1910 in St. Petersburg, in the family of a Greek citizen Panaioti Anastas. The family had four sons and one daughter. The eldest sons Mikhail and Leonid were architects, the younger Konstantin was a student at the Leningrad Industrial Construction Institute. Before his arrest, Leonid was an architect at Lengiprogor. Arrested 07/07/1938 on suspicion of spying for Greece. He was held under investigation for 1.5 years in prison No. 1 of Leningrad (“Crosses”). By a special meeting of the NKVD of the USSR on 10/09/1939. sentenced to 5 years in labor camp. Sent to Oneglag, Arkhangelsk region, where his traces were lost. The whole family was deported to Greece, except for the sister, who married a military man and went with him to the Far East. Rehabilitated on May 10, 1989. posthumously, for lack of evidence of a crime.
