Genus. in 1888 in the village Novocherkassk, Donetsk province, Russian, lived in Leningrad, st. Lenina, 48, apt. 32. He was arrested on June 14, 1821 on charges of agitation against the Soviet Power. The case was dismissed on July 28, 1921, and Popov was released from custody on June 22, 1921. On 08.1929 a written undertaking not to leave was taken. 07/01/1929 was arrested. He was accused of joining a criminal sabotage group headed by Vl. Kostenko. Together with him he carried out acts of sabotage, i.e. according to Art. 58-7 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR By a resolution of the OGPU board of July 15, 1929, he was sentenced to imprisonment in a concentration camp for a period of 10 years. To serve his sentence he was sent to the Solovetsky camp. On November 2, 19932, a decision was made to release him from custody. Rehabilitated on November 2, 1932.
