Genus. in 1921 in Dusseldorf, citizen of Belgium. Lived in the territory of Eupen-Malmedy. In 1940, when Belgium was occupied by Nazi Germany during World War II, the territory was incorporated directly into Germany, where it remained until 1945. He was drafted into the army, from 1941 until the day of Germany’s surrender he served in the German army, with the rank of lieutenant, commanded a tank company, and was awarded two iron crosses. In 1945, while being part of the Kurlyan group, he did not surrender, but crossed the border illegally. He hid on the territory of Lithuania (Gvaldu village Kvedarnos, Taurages district), met with members of the resistance. Arrested and sentenced to 25 years in prison. He served his prison term in Magadan, where in 1949 he met N.A. Vaishvilene. In 1951, their daughter N.L. Vaishvilaite was born. In 1955, at the request of the Belgian government, he was sent home. In 1959-1960 commanded a tank battalion of the German Army in Wetzlar.Died in the 1970s.
