Arrested on October 11, 1971. Sentenced by the Odessa Regional Court on May 19, 1972 under Article 62 Part 1 of the Criminal Code of the Ukrainian SSR to 5 years and 6 months in a penal colony. He served his term in Perm camps - No. 36. Released on May 11, 1976.
