Babintsev Evgeny Kirillovich

Genus. in 1948 in Nizhny Tagil, Sverdlovsk region; Russian; secondary technical education; member of the Komsomol; exploration drilling technician,
operator of a rotary drilling machine in the "Exploration Operation" of the Vysokogorsk Mining Department. Member of the underground organization "Revolutionary Party of Intellectualists of the Soviet Union" in Nizhny Tagil. Arrested on March 12, 1971. Sentenced by the Sverdlovsk Regional Court on November 18, 1971 under Article 70 Part 1 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR, 72 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR for “anti-Soviet agitation” to 2 years in prison. He served his sentence in Dubravlag (Potma No. 17, Potma ZH-385/17). Released on March 12, 1973. After his release, he worked at the N.-Tagil Metallurgical Plant and studied at the Leningrad Theological Seminary and Academy. He served in the parishes of the Leningrad diocese.
